Dowerin Community Club

The Dowerin Community Club is located at the Recreation Grounds and is the community's sport, recreation and social hub. The facility was completed in 2013 and comprises of a large function room, bar, commercial kitchen, meeting room and ablution/changeroom facilities.

There is excellent viewing of the adjacent 10 rink bowling green and 4 tennis courts as well as the Football/Cricket Oval. The club and its facilities are available for corporate functions, workshops, meetings and events.

Dowerin Recreation Centre

The Dowerin Recreation Centre is located on Memorial Avenue, adjacent to the town oval. The centre contains badminton, squash, basketball and netball courts, Dowerin All Hours Gym as well as the famous Dowerin Field Days headquarters.

Dowerin Hockey Oval

There is one seniors ladies hockey team in Dowerin, as well as Juniors and Minkey. The oval is located adjacent to the town football oval, off Memorial Avenue.

Dowerin Football Oval

There are 2 senior football teams in Dowerin – The Tigers, along with Juniors and Auskick. The football oval is access off Memorial Avenue and is central in the Dowerin recreation hub.

Dowerin Netball/Basketball Courts

The netball and basketball courts are housed in a large shed, alongside the Dowerin Recreation Centre. There are 3 courts on a bitumen surface. There is currently only junior basketball played, but a healthy netball club exists with 2 senior teams, net-set-go and juniors all played on the weekends.

Dowerin Bowling Club

Dowerin boasts a 10 rink, synthetic bowling green which was installed in 2013. There are 2 Men’s Saturday bowls teams and 2 ladies teams who play on a Tuesday. The green is alongside the Dowerin Community Club.

Dowerin Golf Club

The Dowerin Golf Club is located on Jones Road, just on the outskirts of town. It is an 18 hole course but is most well known for its 19th hole. Men or women and mixed events for 6 months of the year.

Dowerin Cricket Club

Dowerin Cricket Club has 2 synthetic wickets in their practice nets next to the town oval. Mens cricket plays from October to March.

Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool

Dowerin boasts an Olympic 50m swimming pool. One of the few remaining in the area. The pool is open from November to March. Season passes are available at the Shire Office.
