SHIRE OF DOWERIN ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW CEO

The Shire of Dowerin is thrilled to announce the appointment of David Singe as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With his remarkable experience in local government, primary health, regional development and strategic planning, David is set to drive the growth and progress of the Shire and the community of Dowerin.

Having served in various leadership roles within the local government and state sector, David brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Wheatbelt communities. His strategic vision and innovative thinking will be instrumental in shaping the future of Dowerin.

Furthermore, David’s background in primary health will be invaluable in addressing the evolving needs of the community, ensuring access to services, and promoting overall wellbeing.

The Shire of Dowerin also acknowledges the significant contributions made by the outgoing CEO, Rebecca McCall and extends its sincere gratitude for her dedication and service, whilst not forgetting Mick, who has kept our parks, gardens and oval in good form and maintained a working sewerage system.

Rebecca’s last day in the office is the 1 August 2023, whilst it is anticipated that David will commence duties on the 9 October 2023. Throughout the intervening 10 weeks, the Shire has contracted an Acting CEO, Brian Jones.

The Shire of Dowerin welcomes both Brian, and David as the new CEO and is confident that his exceptional skill set, and extensive experience will enhance the Shire’s ability to achieve its strategic goals and create a positive impact on the community.
